Strategy&, Deloitte and Accuracy win AMIC Private Equity awards in Morocco

 At the Private Equity Awards held by Morocco’s industry association AMIC, prizes were handed out to the country’s leading M&A advisory companies, with Strategy&, Deloitte and Accuracy earning the top bragging rights.

The 2025 edition of the AMIC Private Equity Awards saw private equity leaders from funds, family offices, venture capitalists and other financial sponsors come together in Casablanca to discuss the future of the industry, and celebrate the companies playing an frontrunning role in the domain.

During the Awards ceremony, Strategy& was singled out as Morocco’s Strategic Advisor of the Year, in part thanks to its role during the acquisition of Building Logistics Services, a logistics operator in Morocco. Strategy& advised STOA, an impact fund established late 2017, during its minority stake acquisition, providing strategic guidance and delivering the commercial due diligence.

“It is a great honor for Strategy& to be named Strategy Advisor of the Year in Morocco’s private equity industry,” said Jonathan Le Henry, partner and Head of Strategy& for the Maghreb region. “This award recognizes our role in the private equity industry and is a great recognition for our Casablanca team.”

The award for Transaction Support Advisor of the Year (Large Cap) went to Deloitte, recognizing the firm’s track record of support big ticket transactions in Morocco and its active role in accelerating private equity in the country.

Meanwhile, the Transaction Support Advisor of the Year award for the Mid Cap segment went to Accuracy. Aomar Elalamy, partner at Accuracy, stated: “This distinction reflects our role in structuring some of the most important transactions in Morocco’s private equity market. It recognises our ability to combine financial rigour, strategic vision and tailor-made support, driving the success of our partners.”

Other companies that won awards at the AMIC Private Equity Awards include Asafo & Co (a law firm), Mediterrania Capital Partners (a fund) and CDG Invest (a fund).

The private equity scene

Founded in 2000, AMIC is the professional association of the Moroccan private equity landscape, with its stated aim to unite, represent and promote the private equity profession to local and international investors, entrepreneurs and governmental bodies. Its annual awards competition is part of its pillar to celebrating excellence and share best practices.

According to the latest annual market report from AMIC, delivered in conjunction with Grant Thornton, total fund capital raised in 2024 hit a new record high, at 3,887 million Moroccan dirhams, while total investments in the twelve-month period amounted to 1,699 billion million Moroccan dirhams, the second-highest level since AMIC started tracking the numbers. On average, private equity funds in Morocco have a holding period of 6.2 years.
