Horváth strengthens Energy practice leadership in the Middle East
International management consultancy Horváth has strengthened its Energy practice in the Middle East with the appointment of Saleh Hassasneh as principal, who will work alongside managing director Patrick Braunschweig.
Saleh brings over 12 years of experience in consulting and advisory, with a strong focus on energy, strategy, and transformation. Based in the UAE, he has supported leading organizations across the region on complex initiatives, including strategy development, business case development, and large-scale transformation programs.
He joins from KBR, where he was a principal in its advisory business and formerly led its consulting offering. Earlier, he worked at energy-focused global professional services company Worley.
Throughout his career, Saleh has worked with clients across the energy value chain on navigating market shifts, optimizing performance, and delivering sustainable growth in an evolving energy landscape. He has been based in the UAE since 2017.
Patrick Braunschweig, Managing Director at Horváth, said the senior hire marks an important investment in its Energy practice and enhances the firm’s ability to support its clients in addressing their strategic, transformational and operational challenges.

Founded in 1981, Horváth has around 1,400 employees worldwide. Its Middle East business was launched in 2009 and today operates in the region with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Riyadh. The consulting firm recently announced that it anticipates strong growth in the region, with its energy vertical expected to be a major driver given the sector’s significant ambitions and the challenges it currently faces.
