Horváth adds Philipp Demirok to leadership of Financial Services practice
International management consultancy Horváth has appointed Philipp Demirok as a Principal in its Middle East team.
Now in his eighth year at Horváth, Philipp Demirok transfers from the firm’s German business to bolster the team in the region. In his new role, he will work alongside John Giurgius – Regional Head of Financial Services – to further develop the firm’s financial services offering across the Gulf Cooperation Council and expand its presence among banks, insurers, wealth managers, fintechs, and other industry players.
Demirok brings extensive consulting experience with a strong focus on financial services. He has supported financial institutions on a wide range of initiatives, including strategy development, operating model design, and large-scale transformation programmes in areas such as regulatory change, digital transformation, and performance improvement.
Commenting on the news, Giurgius said: “We are delighted to welcome Philipp to our Middle East team. His appointment reflects Horváth’s continued investment in the Middle East and underpins our ambitious growth plans in the financial services sector.”
Giurgius, who himself has over 15 years of experience in financial services gained on both sides of the table (consultant and industry), added that Demirok’s arrival comes at an opportune time. “The financial services sector is undergoing rapid transformation and major change across the Gulf region, and strengthening our leadership will enable us to better support our clients as they navigate this change.”
In the Middle East, Horváth is an award-winning consulting firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Riyadh. The company has in recent months been strengthening its leadership team across several industry verticals and practices.
