WMSJ named Global Training Partner of the IFRS Foundation

WMSJ, a regional sustainability consultancy and capacity building firm, has been appointed as an official Global Training Partner of the IFRS Foundation.

This milestone enables WMSJ to deliver the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Disclosure Training, using IFRS Foundation-developed content for clients across the region and internationally.

The ISSB is a global standard-setting body that develops a comprehensive baseline for how companies should report sustainability-related information to investors. Established in 2021 under the IFRS Foundation, the ISSB was created to improve consistency and comparability in sustainability reporting worldwide and has rapidly become a leading reference point for disclosure standards globally.

The ISSB Disclosure Training delivered by WMSJ introduces participants to the two core standards: IFRS S1, which sets out general requirements for sustainability-related financial disclosures, and IFRS S2, which focuses specifically on climate-related disclosures.

Waseem Hoeneini, Founder of WMSJ, said the certification recognises the firm’s longstanding track record in sustainability and capacity building. He also highlighted WMSJ’s strong ties to capital markets, which represent one of the most important stakeholders in the sustainability reporting landscape.
