SFAI expands into Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait and Yemen

International accounting and consulting network Santa Fe Associates (SFAI) has in the past months expanded its footprint in the Middle East with the addition of members firms in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait and Yemen. 

With more than 7,000 professionals working for participating firms in more than 75 countries, SFAI is one of the globe’s twenty largest professional services firms with an accounting heritage. Headquartered in Malta, SFAI has a global presence, with its members firms active from some 220 locations helping clients with auditing, taxation, financial advisory and consulting services.

With the addition of the four newest members firms, SFAI now has a presence that covers nearly all of the Middle East markets.

In Bahrain, AM Consulting has joined its ranks. The consulting firm is led by Ravi Mehta, a former finance leader at several companies in Bahrain and the UAE who founded the consultancy in 2016. The firm’s core services include bookkeeping, preparing policies and procedures, feasibility studies, valuation reports, business planning, financial forecasting, operations management, and internal controls. SFAI expands into Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait and YemenIn Jordan, Almodaweneh has joined the network, and rebranded as SFAI Jordan. Company leader Mutaz Altarifi has over a decade of experience in the accounting sector, having previously worked for BDO, PKF and UHY. SFAI Jordan supports its clients with audit, tax, and consulting services focused on the mid-market segment. 

Meanwhile, Ascension Consulting & Training has been tapped as the representative firms in Kuwait, and has similarly rebranded. SFAI Kuwait’s founder, Raafat Hashem, is an experienced professional with a demonstrated history of working in the finance industry. He previously worked for Baker Tilly in Kuwait, and held finance roles at Nikon, Kuwait International Bank and conglomerate Kazema Global.

SFAI Kuwait has a multifaceted service portfolio, spanning services such as corporate finance, investment advisory, finance optimisation, risk management, compliance, external audit, financial planning and internal audit. 

In Yemen, Sana‘a (or Sanaa) based Ali Al-Sabri & Partners has become the exclusive member of SFAI. The professional services firm is led by founder and managing partner Ali Al-Sabri, flanked by two other partners: Abdulrahman Qahtan and Abdulhakim Al-Samdi. All three advisors previously served the Yemeni division of HLB. The firm’s main activities are consultancy, audit, assurance, tax and training. 

SFAI’s other Middle East members firms are based in among others Lebanon, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
