Mohammed Assaqaf appointed to evaluation committee of Sports Innovation Hackathon
Mohammed Assaqaf, a Manager at Pure Sports, has served on the evaluation committee of the Sports Innovation Hackathon 2026.
The Sports Innovation Hackathon 2026 is a national innovation competition held in Saudi Arabia that brings together innovators, developers, entrepreneurs, and investors to develop solutions for the sports sector. It is part of the broader Sports Investment Forum (SIF) ecosystem and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to grow the sports economy through technology and startups.
Organized alongside the Sports Investment Forum 2026, held from 20–22 April in Riyadh, the hackathon saw participants pitch their sports-tech ideas to industry leaders, investors, and funds, with the goal of turning their concepts into real-world business ventures.
A member of the evaluation committee, Mohammed Assaqaf contributed to the assessment and analysis of participating projects, supporting the overall quality of outcomes and helping identify the most promising concepts. His role also included contributing to connecting innovative ideas with relevant entities across the sports sector, as well as exploring potential investment opportunities.
In his role at Pure Sports, one of the Kingdom’s leading sports consultancies, Assaqaf advises and supports clients in areas including sports policymaking, innovation, development, and evaluation. He focuses on the Saudi market.
Reflecting on the contribution of its team member, Pure Sports stated: “Mohammed’s participation reflects our broader efforts to enable innovation, support emerging talent, and actively contribute to shaping the future of the sports industry in the Kingdom. This reinforces our role as a key partner in driving growth across the sector.”
