Anas Orfali (Pure Sports) participates in Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federation’s general assembly
Held in Kazakhstan, the Jiu-Jitsu Asian Union’s general assembly brought together member federations to discuss the continued growth and development of jiu-jitsu across the region. Anas Orfali, Managing Partner at Pure Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Jiu-Jitsu Federation, represented the kingdom at the event.
Organized mid-July in Almaty, the capital city of Kazakhstan, the general assembly brought together leaders of national Jiu-Jitsu federations from across Asia to discuss the federation’s strategic priorities, strengthen collaboration among member federations, and advance initiatives that support the continued growth and development of the sport throughout the continent.
As Chairman of the Saudi Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Anas Orfali leads the kingdom’s association, overseeing the sport’s growth, fostering stronger regional partnerships, and promoting initiatives that enhance athlete development and institutional excellence across Asia.
Appointed to the role late last year, Orfali’s key objectives include driving success in professional competitions, nurturing the next generation of athletes, strengthening Saudi Arabia’s presence on the global stage, and growing jiu-jitsu’s contribution to the Kingdom’s broader sports strategy.
His participation in the general assembly provided an opportunity to represent Saudi Arabia’s interests on the international stage while gaining valuable insights and best practices from fellow member federations. His attendance will also support the Saudi association’s preparations for the upcoming World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which will take place in September in Tokyo.
