Maven Insights launches new Investments & Deals practice
Maven Insights has launched its new Investments & Deals practice focused on helping its clients with strategizing and closing investments and financial transactions.
This new practice marks the eighth area of expertise for Maven Insights, a regional management consulting firm with five offices in the Middle East. The practice brings together deep expertise in strategy, mergers & acquisitions, investments, and post-transaction value creation to assist clients in identifying, preparing for, and executing investments, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raisings.
“In today’s fast-paced business environment, investments and deals provide a vital pathway for growth, innovation, and competitive advantage,” said Ludovic Tiberghien, partner at Maven Insights. “As a trusted partner, we guide business leaders through the complexities of investments and strategic partnerships, enabling growth, unlocking synergies, and beefing up financial positions.”
The launch comes at a time of heightened activity in the GCC’s transactions landscape. According to data cited by Maven Insights, the market for M&A deals topped $80 billion in 2023, with corporates, private equity funds and most notably sovereign wealth funds turning to M&A to expand their scale, gain access to new markets, or innovate their business models.
A large chunk of deals is geared at accelerating the economic diversification agendas of traditionally oil-dependent economies such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE. “Policy makers are increasingly using M&A as a vehicle to drive diversification. This can be done through strategic investments, privatization, or attracting foreign direct investment, among others.”
In light of this development, Tiberghien noted that the firm’s new practice is closely aligned with Maven Insights’ goal to contribute to the visionary agendas of GCC economies. He further emphasized that this new practice will enhance the consultancy’s ability to better serve its executive-level clients, for whom deals and investments are often among the top five strategic priorities in large and mid-sized businesses.
“Focus on investments and deals in the region has significantly increased, as flourishing opportunities present governments, companies and investors with countless opportunities. Our Deals & Investments practice combines strategic insights, meticulous due diligence, and tailored support to deliver high-quality, customized services across the transaction life cycle, ensuring our clients can navigate the complex landscape with confidence.”
Alongside the new Investments & Deals practice, Maven Insights offers a wide range of other core practices. These include Commercial Growth, Business Transformation, Commercial Excellence, People Analytics & Employee Experience, Customer Experience, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and Quality Management.
“Together, these areas of expertise empower Maven Insights to deliver comprehensive, tailored solutions that meet the diverse needs of clients across industries,” Tiberghien concluded.
