Andersen Global signs partnership agreements in Jordan and Kuwait
Jordan-based legal services firm Zalloum & Laswi has joined international association Andersen Global – with the newest member in the Middle East coming on the heels of a collaboration agreement signed with Kuwait’s largest law firm last month.
Global professional services association Andersen Global has again widened its Middle East footprint with Jordan’s Zalloum & Laswi International joining as a full member; adopting the name Andersen Tax & Legal. The latest new member follows additions in Bahrain, Oman and Qatar and in Saudi Arabia over the past twelve months, as well as the most recent collaboration agreement signed with Kuwaiti law firm Al Khebra.
Previously an Andersen Global collaborating firm itself, Zalloum & Laswi was founded in 1993 by current managing partner Azzam Zalloum, since growing to a team of 20 legal professionals. The firm serves mid-to-large local and foreign corporations with a range of provisions, including in banking and finance, civil law, contracts, foreign investment, intellectual property rights, corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, and mergers & acquisitions.
“The legal and business community in Jordan have looked to our colleagues at Zalloum & Laswi for 26 years, and they are an important part of our business strategy for the entire Middle East,” said Andersen CEO Mark Vorsatz. “Throughout their time with us as a collaborating firm and now a member firm, the team have demonstrated their dedication to providing seamless service, which so clearly represents our global commitment to clients.”Zalloum & Laswi and Andersen Global originally signed a collaboration agreement last year. “In less than a year, we have been able to see up close the Andersen values of stewardship, best-in-class service and transparency,” said partner and Office Managing Director Rasha Laswi. “We are looking forward to becoming a full member firm of Andersen Global and having the Andersen name on the door, as it comes with a reputation that is second-to-none.”
With now more than 20 outlets in ten countries across the Middle East (since its establishment in 2013), Andersen Global marked another milestone last month in signing a collaboration agreement with Kuwaiti law firm Al Khebra – Andersen’s 50th country location with a legal services practice among its member and collaborating firms. Based in Kuwait City but serving the wider region, Al Khebra is Kuwait's largest law firm.
In operation for more than two decades, the firm is led by founder and Managing Partner Osama A Al-Abdul Jaleel with the support of five partners and nearly 50 legal and tax professionals (including Ghina Malek, head of Al Khebra’s international division), who provide corporate and commercial, M&A, private equity, tax, real estate, banking and finance, venture capital, and restructuring services among other offerings throughout the Middle East.
“We look toward the future as a wide canvas for the endless possibilities for our firm to grow and lead in the region. Collaborating with the Andersen Global team, our clients can be assured we will continue to provide the most seamless, professional, and innovative legal and commercial solutions,” said Al-Abdul Jaleel, with Vorsatz adding; “A firm of the quality and scale of Al Khebra helps to continue to position Andersen Global as ‘best in class’ consistently – in every region around the globe.”
