Amazon Web Services (AWS) consulting partner Zero&One has added yet another AWS designation to its roster, now also becoming a vetted managed services provider for technologies that run on the AWS platform.

In the six years since its inception, Zero&One has grown into a leading player in AWS landscape. Currently 50-strong, with a team operating out of the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon, Zero&One made a name for itself when it became the first homegrown firm to attain AWS Premier Consulting Partner status in the MENA region.

Building on its knowledge in the domain, Zero&One has now expanded its model from its traditional consulting and implementation focus to also add expertise in AWS operations, support and ongoing maintenance.

With the new AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) designation, Zero&One can now offer its client a full end-to-end offering, including in the post-implementation phase. “We are built to solve complex business challenges and create positive business outcomes for our customers. We can now do so wherever they are in the process of cloud transformation,” said Ali El Kontar, CEO of Zero&One.

A popular line of extension for many tech consultancies, the shift into managed services also comes with a much-welcomed business benefit. While consulting work engagements to be more lucrative, work is project-based meaning fees are one-off. Managed services meanwhile brings in a recurring flow of income, which injects a layer of stability to the fee-based models of consultancies.

To attain its latest certification, Zero&One had to undergo a “rigorous third-party audit of its technical and business practices” and “validate its ability to deliver end-to-end AWS solutions to customers”, said AWS in a statement.

The announcement comes shortly after the two companies signed a strategic agreement with the intent of expanding their collaboration, and growing Zero&One into a 100-strong strong business in the coming years. “This recognition from AWS cements our position as a trusted partner,” stated El Kontar.

Zero&One currently has some 200 AWS certifications under its belt, across competencies including AWS Migration Consulting (helping clients move to the AWS cloud), AWS DevOps Consulting (helping clients build solutions along the lines of DevOps), and AWS Data & Analytics (helping clients adopt advanced data analytics powered by AWS solutions).

In the summer of 2022, Zero&One sold an undisclosed stake in its business to consulting giant PwC.
